Thanks for visiting my website! I decided to create this website so that buyers and sellers of real estate can get a short personal biography about myself. I currently live in the beautiful village of Saugerties! I grew up in Newburgh as a kid and my husband grew up in Middletown and we always wanted a similiar feeling of community that we grew up with. Of course certain ares of Newburgh & Middletown were much different when we grew up as a child. But, things take time to turn around so I am sure that they will once again be as great as I remember growing up. I remember walking to Geraci's market when I was a child and of course going to Torino Bakery, the best bakery around.
Since then we have migrated north, Milton, Marlboro, Highland Plattekill and now to Saugerties. My husband, son and three Boston Terriers love living here in Saugerties. There is not a day that goes by that we don't appreciate all there is in this lovely town. From walking to the movies, the bakery, coffee shop, or just having a hot dog at Texas Weiners, I can honestly say things are great here in Saugerties.
My son will never be bored living here, there are so many things for him to do, there is the Saugerties Boys & Girls Club, numerous parks and playgrounds, the movies, etc. There are weekly events here for kids to be in, many summer parades, weekly art acitivities, and many other amazing events that are held by the locals here. The best part is that all of his schools are within walking distance.
When the weather is nice you can expect to see many locals walking their dogs through the town, they all seem to greet each other on the corners and the owners always say hello to you or stop for a quick chat. In fact many of the local business owners have signs that say Dogs Welcome in their window. When I walk my three Boston Terriers it is a funny site, so I try to only walk one or two at a time. They love to stop in the Natural Food Pet store and pick out a bone for the day. Overall I urge you to visit the Village of Saugeties, whether it is a day or two, or maybe even to buy a vacation home or be a full-time resident, you will be happy to be here in a town where people still greet you on the sidewalk.
